Grade 7 – Middle Advanced piano solo With this sheet music, you can play "12th St Rag” by Euday Boman, one of the most famous and best-selling rags of the ragtime era. Ragtime is a jazz musical style that enjoyed its peak popularity between 1895 and 1918. Its cardinal trait is its syncopated, or "ragged", rhythm. This arrangement is for advanced players in E flat Major and Common Time and includes a brief history and analysis.

The piece is based on a descending chord progression (i-Vb-vii-IV7b-VI-VII-Vb) with variations in metre, rhythm, melodic contour, pitch and syncopation.
