Middle Advanced Piano (Grade 7)
With this Middle Advanced Piano Solo (Grade 7)
you can play Chopin’s beloved “Waltz (Op.34 No.2)”. An autumnal mood sounds in the Waltz in A Minor, one of the three that make up opus 34 which was written in 1831. This Waltz has a quite unusual character, and it has even been called ‘melancholic’. It represents that variety of the genre which, as the valse triste or valse lente, would become popular during the second half of the century with Tchaikovsky and Sibelius.
Arranged by Dr Jane Stavrinoudis, this download includes a black and white pdf, a colour coded pdf for reluctant readers, general knowledge questions and answers, musical terms definitions, the scale and key signature, and a link to a YouTube backing to support learning or to perform with.
