Grade 7 – Middle Advanced piano solo

With this sheet music, you can play Chopin’s beloved Waltz (Op.34 No.2)

An autumnal mood sounds in the Waltz in A minor, one of the three that make up opus 34 which was written in 1831. This Waltz has a quite unusual character, and it has even been called ‘melancholic’. It represents that variety of the genre which, as the valse triste or valse lente, would become popular during the second half of the century with Tchaikovsky and Sibelius.  This arrangement is for advanced players in A minor and Simple Triple Time and includes a brief history and analysis.  Listen here
